Recipes with KICK Sambal - RED



READY IN: 20 minutes / SERVES: 2


  • 12 oz fresh salmon fillet
  • 1 teaspoon KICK Sambal 
  • 4 tablespoons fresh cilantro


  1. Preheat oven to 350°F
  2. Place the salmon fillets, skin side down, in dish and set aside
  3. Gently rub the KICK Sambal paste onto the salmon and bake, uncovered, at 350° for 15-20 minutes or until fish flakes easily with a fork.
  4. Garnish with fresh cilantro, if desir

Baked Sweet Potatoes


READY IN: 20 minutes / SERVES: 4


  • 4 sweet potatoes
  • 3 tablespoons coconut oil
  • 1 tablespoon KICK Sambal


  1. Preheat oven to 400°F
  2. Cover  baking sheet with baking paper
  3. Peel and cut the sweet potato into 1 1⁄4 inch cubes or parts 
  4.  Melt coconut oil until just melting and  stir in the KICK Sambal
  5. Cover the sweet potatoes with the oil mixture and make sure every piece is covered
  6. Divide potatoes over baking sheet
  7. Place baking sheet in preheated oven
  8. Check regularly and flip pieces when necessary. Bake for approximately 30 minutes or until done.

Chicken Wings


READY IN: 25 minutes / SERVES: 4


  • 16 chicken wings, wing tips removed
  • 2 teaspoon KICK Sambal 
  • vegetable oil
  • sea salt


  1. Recipes with chicken: Trim excess skin from the edges of the wings.
  2. Lightly brush or spray with the oil, and season with salt to taste.
  3. Grill the chicken wings over Direct Medium heat until the skin begins to crisp, about 10 minutes, turning once or twice.
  4. Rub the wings with the KICK Sambal and continue to grill until the meat is no longer pink at the bone, 8 to 10 minutes

Prawn Stew


READY IN: 20 minutes / SERVES: 2


  • 150 g raw peeled prawns 
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 400 g chopped tomatoes
  • 1-2 teaspoon KICK Sambal
  • 1 small bunch coriander leaves


  1. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan, add the onion and garlic and fry for 1-2 minutes or until just tender.
  2. Add the cumin and fry for a minute, add the tomatoes and KICK Sambal and bubble everything together until it thickens slightly. Season well.
  3. Stir in the prawns and cook for 3 minutes, then scatter the coriander over. 
  4. Serve with rice or couscous

Stir-Fried Vegetables


READY IN: 20 minutes / SERVES: 2-4


  • 3⁄4 lb green beans, cut on bias into 1.5-inch pieces
  • 4 scallions, cut into 1.5-inch pieces
  • 2 tablespoons peanut oil 
  • 1 teaspoon KICK Sambal 
  • 1 teaspoon peanut oil 
  • 3 garlic cloves, mashed 


  1. Heat a heavy skillet (12") over high heat until extremely hot
  2. Carefully swirl 2 tablespoons oil to coat the bottom
  3. Fry green beans, flipping every 30 seconds or so with a wide spatula, until slight charred and crisp-tender - about 4 minutes 
  4. Add scallions, continue cooking in same manner until scallions are charred and beans are tender
  5. Make a well in the center of the pan; mash garlic and remaining 1 t. oil together. Fry until fragrant - about 5 seconds - and stir into vegetables
  6. Add KICK Sambal and toss into vegetables to coat
  7. Cook until liquid is reduced by about half, about 15 seconds. Serve immediately

Fried Potatoes


READY IN: 15 minutes / SERVES: 4


  • Sunflower oil
  • 1 or 2 tbsp KICK Sambal
  • Cooked potatoes (best from the previous day) in cubes or slices


  1. Heat a layer of oil in a frying pan
  2. Add the cut potatoes
  3. Fry and turn over until evenly brown
  4. Add KICK Sambal and mix in carefully

Recipes with KICK Sambal - GREEN

Cod w/Coconut Milk


READY IN: 25 minutes / SERVES: 2-4


  • Cod fish; 1⁄2 lbs. per person
  • Approximately 2 oz KICK Sambal
  • 1⁄2 can of unsweetened (organic) coconut milk
  • Cilantro (optional)
  • Salt/pepper (optional)


  1. Preheat the oven to 400 Fahrenheit
  2. Put the Cod Fish in an oven dish
  3. Spread the KICK Sambal over the fish (less or more to your taste)
  4. Place in oven for 15 minutes
  5. Divide coconut milk over the fish
  6. Place into oven again for about 5 minutes (until warm and fluid)
  7. Sprinkle over some cilantro leaves (optional)
  8. Serve with cooked rice (with turmeric?) or fried potatoes

Stir-Fried Chickpeas


READY IN: 20 minutes / SERVES: 4


  • Coconut oil 
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 lbs. of chicken breast or less (optional)
  • Can of chickpeas
  • Broccoli (1 crown and stem), 1⁄4 cauliflower, cup peas, cup carrots, 1 kohlrabi (chose a couple for color and health and decide how much YOU like)
  • 1 or 2 cooked potatoes (optional)
  • Nuts of any kind (we like peanuts, cashews, almond - optional)
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • Salt/pepper
  • 1⁄2 can unsweetened coconut milk (more is fine)
  • 2 tbsp KICK Sambal


  1. Heat wok or large cast iron pan with coconut oil (small layer)
  2. Cut up an onion in small pieces and stir fry until fragrant;
  3. Add chicken breast in cubes if desired, no more than a pound but less is better, and stir fry until lightly brown
  4. Add pre-cooked, drained, chickpeas (either home soaked and cooked, or canned)
  5. Add small broccoli, cauliflower, peas, carrot pieces, kohlrabi pieces, etc. and keep stirring
  6. Add leftover pieces of potato from the previous day (optional)
  7. Add peanuts, almond, cashews, etc. Sunflower seed if allergic to nuts, (optional but so good)
  8. Add 1 or 2 pressed garlic cloves
  9. Salt, pepper to taste
  10. Add half can of coconut milk and heat again but don't cook
  11. Add 2 tablespoons of KICK Sambal – or more/less to your taste – and put a jar of KICK Sambal on the table!
  12. Serve with cooked (healthy with some turmeric) rice of your choice (brown, white, wild, etc.)

Sirloin Burger


READY IN: 15 minutes / SERVES: 4


  • 1 1⁄2 lbs ground sirloin, at room temperature
  • 4 hamburger buns, good quality
  • 4 teaspoons KICK Sambal
  • Sea salt & freshly ground black peppers


  1. Light your grill and brush the grate with oil once it is heated
  2. Shape the sirloin into 4 equal patties about 3/4" thick and season generously with salt and pepper
  3. Grill the burgers over a medium-hot fire for about 10 minutes, turning once, for medium-rare meat
  4. Remove the burgers from direct heat and brush the insides of the buns with oil and grill face down until lightly toasted, no more then a 1 minute
  5. Place burgers on the bottom halves of the buns. Top the burgers with KICK Sambal
  6. Cover with tops of buns and serve immediately

Try it on pizza


Not a fan of adding a vinegary hot sauce on your pizza? People told us that they loved KICK Sambal to compliment their pizza. IT JUST TASTES BETTER WHEN YOUR PIZZA IS HOT AND SPICY!

Try it on popcorn


Melt 2 or 3 tablespoons of butter, Mix 2 teaspoons of KICK Sambal in with the butter,  Pour butter mixture on popcorn about one tablespoon at a time. ENJOY!

Try it on avocado (club sandwich)


Put KICK Sambal - GREEN straight on avocados or make your own Green Sambal avocado turkey club sandwich. 


Try it on peanut butter


This one’s for all you hot sauce fanatics. Try KICK Sambal - RED on your peanut butter sandwich and, If you’re really adventurous, try it on the classic peanut butter and jelly sandwich. GO CRAZY!
